About Fortnite Stats

Our stats lookup uses the official Fortnite API to fetch current player data. The data includes overall stats like kills, wins, matches, and K/D ratio, broken down by input method (keyboard & mouse, gamepad, touch).

Note: Stats are only shown if the player's profile is public. Private profiles cannot be retrieved.

Stats Explained

Understand what each statistic means, how it is calculated, and what values are considered good.

๐ŸŽฏ K/D Ratio (Kill/Death Ratio)
K/D = Total Kills / Total Deaths

The K/D ratio shows how many eliminations you get per death. A K/D of 2.0 means you eliminate 2 players on average before dying. This is one of the most important indicators of combat skill.

Good values: 1.0 = Average, 2.0+ = Good, 4.0+ = Very good, 6.0+ = Elite
๐Ÿ† Win Rate
Win Rate = (Wins / Matches Played) x 100%

The win rate shows the percentage of your matches that you won. In solos you compete against up to 99 other players, so even a low win rate is impressive. The average win rate is statistically 1% in solos.

Good values: 3% = Above average, 5-10% = Good, 10-20% = Very good, 20%+ = Elite
๐ŸŽฎ Matches Played
Total number of all rounds played

The number of matches played shows your overall experience. More matches generally mean more practice and better skills. This value gives context to your other stats - a K/D of 3.0 after 5000 matches is more impressive than after 50.

Context values: 100-500 = Beginner, 500-2000 = Experienced, 2000-5000 = Veteran, 5000+ = Hardcore
โญ Score
Cumulative points from all actions

The score is a cumulative point total earned through various in-game actions: eliminations, assists, surviving, looting, building, and placements. A higher score per match indicates a more active playstyle. The average score per match is a good indicator of your overall engagement.

Per match: 200-400 = Average, 400-700 = Good, 700+ = Very active
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Players Outlived
Players outlived per match = Outlived / Matches

This value shows how many players were eliminated before you or left the match. In solos there are up to 99 other players - if you win, you outlived all 99. A high average shows you consistently achieve good placements, even without many kills yourself.

Per match (Solos): 30-50 = Average, 50-70 = Good, 70-85 = Very good, 85+ = Elite
โฑ๏ธ Minutes Played
Total play time in minutes

Time played shows your total investment in Fortnite. Combined with matches played, it gives you the average match length. Short averages (under 5 minutes) suggest early eliminations, while longer averages (15+ minutes) indicate more conservative play or frequent top placements.

Average per match: 5-8 min = Aggressive, 8-15 min = Balanced, 15-22 min = Conservative/Top player
๐Ÿฅ‡ Top Placements
Top 3 / Top 5 / Top 10 / Top 12 / Top 25

Fortnite tracks various placement tiers. Top 3 and Top 5 show how often you were close to winning. Top 10 is an indicator of consistent endgame performance. Top 25 shows how frequently you survive the midgame. The ratio between Top 10 and wins shows how well you can close out the endgame.

Good rates: Top 10 rate > 20%, Top 25 rate > 40% are considered above average
๐Ÿ’€ Kills per Match
KPM = Total Kills / Matches Played

Kills per match is a more direct indicator of aggression and combat performance than K/D, since it is not influenced by deaths. Players with high KPM but lower K/D die more often but also fight more actively. This value helps evaluate different playstyles.

Good values: 2-3 = Average, 3-5 = Good, 5-8 = Very good, 8+ = Elite

How to Improve Your Stats

Eight proven strategies to take your Fortnite performance to the next level.

๐Ÿช‚

1. Perfect Your Landing

Your landing often decides victory or defeat. Practice fast landing and immediate looting in Creative mode. Learn the best landing routes for popular POIs like Tilted Towers or Pleasant Park. Know exactly where chests and floor loot spawn. Landing early means being armed sooner - and that is often the difference between the first kill and an early death.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ

2. Practice Building & Editing

Building is the foundation of Fortnite. Spend 15-20 minutes daily in Creative with building exercises: 90s, retakes, tunneling, and edits. Use edit courses to improve your editing speed. The best players can build, edit, and shoot simultaneously. Start with simple techniques and gradually increase complexity.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ

3. Positioning & Rotation

Good positioning wins more fights than good aim. Always hold height - the player on the hill has the advantage. Rotate early to the new zone to secure the best positions. Avoid running through open fields. Use natural cover and buildings. In the endgame, the right position is often more important than the best weapon.

๐ŸŽฏ

4. Aim Training

Precise aiming is crucial. Use aim training maps in Fortnite Creative or external programs like Kovaak or Aim Lab. Focus on tracking (following a target), flicking (fast aiming), and shotgun aim. Find the right sensitivity settings for you and avoid constantly changing them. Daily 10-minute aim training shows noticeable results after just a few weeks.

๐Ÿ“น

5. Review Your Gameplay

Record your games and watch them back. Use Fortnite's replay mode to analyze lost fights. Ask yourself: Why did I die? Could I have avoided that? Was my positioning bad? The best players in the world regularly analyze their mistakes. Even 10 minutes of VOD review per week can help massively.

๐ŸŽ’

6. Optimize Your Loadout

A good loadout is key. Prioritize a shotgun for close-range fights, an AR or SMG for medium distance, and healing items. Learn when to switch weapons. Always keep at least two healing options ready. Know the current meta and which weapons are strong. Check our weapons page for current damage values.

๐Ÿง

7. Develop Game Sense

Game sense means anticipating situations. Learn to read the storm timer and predict player rotations. Listen for gunshot sounds and estimate positions. Know when to fight and when to disengage. Understand how many players are left and where they likely are. Game sense comes with experience - but playing consciously accelerates the process significantly.

๐Ÿ’ช

8. Mental Fortitude

Tilting is the biggest enemy of your stats. When you are angry or frustrated, you play worse and make bad decisions. Take breaks after losing streaks. Set realistic goals instead of insisting on perfection. Focus on improvement, not individual matches. Play well-rested and hydrated. Pros take their mental health just as seriously as their mechanical skills.

Input Method Comparison

Each input method has strengths and weaknesses. Find out which one best fits your playstyle.

Pro Player Stat Benchmarks

What makes a pro player? Here are typical statistics of the best Fortnite players in the world.

Typical Pro Player Statistics

4.0 - 8.0+
K/D Ratio
15 - 35%
Win Rate
5 - 12+
Kills per Match
10,000+
Matches Played

Aggressive Pros (W-Keyers)

Aggressive pros like Mongraal, Bugha, or Clix are known for their offensive playstyle. They actively seek fights and regularly achieve high kill counts. Typical values: 6-10+ K/D, 5-12 kills per match. Their win rate is sometimes lower than conservative players since they take more risks. However, their highlight games are spectacular.

High K/D Many Kills Risky Style

Strategic Pros (IGL Players)

In-game leaders like Mero, Anas, or Setty focus on positioning, rotation, and team coordination. Their stats often show fewer kills per match (3-6), but significantly higher win rates (20-35%) and better placements. In competitive tournament formats, this style is often more successful since placement points make up the majority of the scoring.

High Win Rate Good Placements Team Focus

Important to know: Pro player stats vary significantly depending on the game mode. Public match statistics are much higher than tournament stats, since opponents in tournaments are also pros. A K/D of 3.0 in Arena/Ranked is comparable to a K/D of 6.0+ in normal matches. Always compare your stats in the right context.

Make Your Stats Public

Your stats not showing? Follow this step-by-step guide to make your profile public.

1

Visit Epic Games Website

Go to epicgames.com and sign in with your Epic Games account. Make sure you are using the correct account linked to your Fortnite profile.

2

Open Account Settings

Click on your name in the top right corner and select "Account" from the dropdown menu. You will be taken to your account management page.

3

Save your changes. It can take up to 15 minutes for the setting to take effect. After that, you can look up your stats here. Play at least one match after the change to ensure new data is generated.

6

Check In-Game Settings

Additionally, you can check in Fortnite itself under Settings > Account > Privacy whether "Show Career Leaderboard" is enabled. Both settings (web and in-game) should be set to public for your stats to be fully visible.

Tip: If your stats still do not show after making them public, try playing a game and then searching again. Sometimes new data needs to be generated before the API returns it. Also note that historical data from when your profile was private may not be available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about Fortnite stats and our tracker.

Why are my stats not showing?

The most common cause is a private profile. Make sure your statistics are set to public in your Epic Games account settings (see guide above). Also check if you entered the correct player name - it is case-sensitive. If you recently changed your profile, it may take a few minutes.

How often are stats updated?

Statistics are fetched via the official Fortnite API and update after every game. However, there may be a delay of a few minutes until new data is available in the API. During high server load, the update may take longer.

Are the statistics 100% accurate?

The data comes directly from the official Epic Games API and is therefore as accurate as what Epic Games itself tracks. In rare cases, minor discrepancies may occur, e.g., when the API temporarily delivers faulty data. In general, however, the stats are very reliable.

Can I see stats from other platforms?

Yes! Fortnite uses a unified Epic Games account across all platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile). Your stats are tracked per input method (keyboard & mouse, gamepad, touch), not per platform. So you see all stats of a player regardless of which platform they play on.

Do Creative or Team Rumble stats count?

No. Only official Battle Royale modes (Solo, Duos, Trios, Squads) are included in overall statistics. Creative mode, Team Rumble, and other LTMs (Limited Time Modes) are not included in standard stats. Ranked has its own separate stat tracking.

What does "Input Method" mean?

Fortnite groups your stats by the input device you use while playing: Keyboard & Mouse, Gamepad (controllers like Xbox, PlayStation, etc.), and Touch (touchscreen on mobile devices). Stats are tracked separately so you can see how well you play with different input types.

Can I reset my stats?

No, there is no official way to reset Fortnite stats. Your overall statistics are cumulative and have been counted since the beginning of your account. The only way would be to create a completely new Epic Games account. Note that you would lose all purchased skins and the Battle Pass.

Why is my K/D lower than expected?

Your K/D is calculated from ALL matches ever played, not just the recent ones. If you had many deaths without kills as a beginner earlier, that drags down your overall K/D. Your current skill level can be significantly higher than your overall K/D suggests. Focus on your last 100 matches for a more realistic picture.

Are Ranked stats tracked separately?

Yes and no. Your Ranked rank (Bronze to Unreal) is tracked separately and is subject to seasonal resets. However, Ranked matches also count towards your overall statistics (kills, wins, K/D). The API currently does not distinguish between Ranked and public matches in the overall numbers.

Does the tracker work for all regions?

Yes! Our tracker works for players from all regions: Europe (EU), North America East (NAE), North America West (NAW), Brazil (BR), Asia, Oceania (OCE), and Middle East (ME). Statistics are global and not region-specific - you see the combined stats across all servers.

How do I find my Epic Games name?

Your Epic Games name is displayed in Fortnite in the top left corner or in the lobby. You can also find it on epicgames.com under account settings. Note that the Epic Games name may differ from your PSN, Xbox, or Nintendo name if you have linked your account. Always use the Epic Games display name for searching.

Do you store my data or player name?

No. We do not store any player data or search histories. Each search is a direct real-time query to the Fortnite API. Once you leave the page, no personal data is retained. Your privacy is important to us.
