Epicโ€™s April 30, 2026 Fortnite news update says hundreds of Star Wars islands begin going live from May 1, with weekly Star Wars Quests rolling out through May and rewards earned across eligible Star Wars games. Treat this guide as a May 2026 checklist for finding the right island and preparing before you queue.

Epic highlighted three games in the announcement. Enter the island code in Discover, then confirm the creator and tile before launching:

  • Galactic Siege โ€” 5003-9856-3648, a 10v10 class-based PvP island.
  • Escape Vader โ€” 7285-4185-5428, a 4-player co-op survival island.
  • Droid Tycoon โ€” 7865-8305-9184, a tycoon-style island built around droid workshops.

Island metadata, matchmaking status, and quest eligibility can change, so use the in-game Discover page as the final source before you spend time grinding.

How to pick your first island

Choose based on the session you actually have:

  • Pick Galactic Siege if you want team fights, objectives, and weapon practice.
  • Pick Escape Vader if you have a small squad and want communication-heavy co-op.
  • Pick Droid Tycoon if you want a lower-pressure session while still progressing Star Wars-themed content.

Before PvP islands, warm up with an aim-training map and review the movement mechanics guide. For squad modes, skim the duo and squad communication guide so your team calls rotations, cooldowns, and objectives consistently.

Quest and reward checklist

  1. Check the Quests tab after logging in, not just the Discover tile.
  2. Confirm whether a quest requires any Star Wars game or a specific island.
  3. Finish short objectives first if you have limited time.
  4. Screenshot completed quest pages if you are tracking rewards across multiple sessions.
  5. Re-check weekly, because Epic said new Star Wars Quests roll out every week in May.

Account-linking reminder

Epic also says eligible players can link an Epic Games Account with a MyDisney Account until October 31, 2026 for the Carbonite Fishstick Back Bling. Because account eligibility and reward delivery are account-specific, use Epicโ€™s official linking flow rather than third-party links.

Bottom line

For May 2026, the safest Fortnite Star Wars plan is simple: verify the island in Discover, check quest requirements in-game, warm up if the island is PvP, then complete the shortest eligible objectives first. That keeps the session useful even if island rotations or reward timers change.
