Chapter 7 Season 4 Override Is Live: What to Do First
Dated August 27, 2026 briefing for Fortnite Override: consoles, Sprites, the 8-Bit Shotgun, Battle Pass timing, and OG Season 9's September 2 deadline.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 โ Override โ launched on August 20, 2026. The Battle Pass runs into late October / November 1, 2026. This is a week-one refresh for anyone who jumped in late, not a promise that every lobby hack still works.
Play this first
- Open the in-game Quests tab. Launch bonuses expire.
- Open the Override lobby tab and look at Loot Hack costs in Sprite Dust before you grind dust for no reason.
- Pick a starter Sprite (Bush, Jonesy, or Adventure) and leave it on for a few matches.
- Land a new POI once in pubs so you learn Green Hill loops / arcade landmarks, then stop hot-dropping them in ranked.
- If you also play OG: OG Season 9 ends September 2, 2026, then Chapter 1 Season X. That pass is a different clock.
Mechanics in one paragraph
Override Consoles apply lobby-wide hacks (XP, extra life, overshield, speed, headshot, loot). They ping your location. Sprites were rebuilt and Sprite Chests are gone. The 8-Bit Shotgun uses game cartridges as ammo. Admin Panel codes are typed in Fortnite โ not on a random website.
