Match Overrides and Loot Hacks

Chapter 7 Season 4 is named Override because matches can change rules in public. This guide is only about the console and the lobby tab. For the season as a whole, use the Override guide.

Override Consoles (in-match)

Consoles spawn in Battle Royale matches. First player or squad to activate one applies a lobby-wide effect in most cases. Activation:

• Costs no gold and no Sprite Dust at the console itself.
• Broadcasts your location.
• Writes your name at the console.

You are not picking up a medkit. You are pressing a button that tells 99 people where you are.

Effect list (confirmed at launch, subject to patches)

If a new effect appears after a hotfix, the same rule applies: does this help me win, or is it content?

How to fight a console

Treat it like a vault:

1. Loot a real gun first.
2. Approach from cover, not from the bus.
3. Clear the nearby building before you touch the button.
4. If two other teams are already there, third-party the winner or leave. Do not make it a 1v6.
5. After activation, leave immediately. The ping is a magnet.

Loot Hacks (lobby tab)

Open the Override tab in the lobby. Spend Sprite Dust to:

• Add specific items to a personal weighted pool (examples at launch included flare guns, bass boosts, miniguns — the list will change).
• Improve the odds of those items.

Then, in a match, you still need the Loot Hack console effect. The lobby tab does nothing by itself.

Setup that is not stupid:

• One close-range weapon you already like.
• One mobility item.
• One “fun” item only if you play pubs.

Do not spend all your dust on six meme items. You will hit the console once per match if you are lucky.

Dust economy: Sprites and Sprite Dust.

Ranked vs pubs

Pubs: activate the funny one. Extra Life, Speed Shooter, Big Loot. Learn the audio cue.

Ranked: default to Overshield, Constant Heal, Infinite Stamina, Extra Life, or skip. Headshot and Speed Shooter make the whole lobby stronger, including the player who is about to beam you.

Never activate Power Pickaxe in ranked unless you are already messing around.

Admin Panel codes

A hidden Admin Panel in the lobby accepts text codes. Launch-week examples:

• survive the night — cheat code locators toward Sprites
• override XP — a chunk of XP (40,000 was quoted at launch)
• got to go fast — Cheat Master Sonic Sprite before first match

Type these in Fortnite. If a site wants your password to “redeem Override codes,” it is a scam.
